I don't know about you, but my life is pretty full right now and I could use a simpler life.
What are some things you can do to change that fast-paced rate you're moving at to a slower stroll?
At this point, I don't know of things I can cut out. Everything is important, necessary, unable to be taken out.
But I do see a few things I can add in that will help. I know ... it doesn't seem to make sense to add more to an already busy life =to make it simpler.
But just listen ... You'll be glad you did.
- Take time for you ... I know life is busy and you just can't see where you can fit anything else in. But how about ten minutes, or fifteen. Just for you. Maybe once a day is good, but twice can be better. All jobs offer breaks and you deserve one or two! Set an alarm so you remember and make yourself do it! You'll be thankful and more rested. π
2. Plan ...Β Add in a bit of time to make a plan for your week: meals, schedules, shopping etc. But a planner (I use a Happy Planner and LOVE it!), a cute list pad or just use an old notebook! I've found some adorable notepads at Target in their little section up front. When I make a plan, life goes much smoother! Here are some downloadable lists for you to use! Or use an app ... I make notes everywhere ... in my phone on my Notes or Reminders app and in Evernote.
3. Ask ... Ask your friends for help, recipes, exchanging playdates or even just coffee date or a walk around the park for the two of you. A coffee date or walk sounds amazing! I don't even remember when the last time was that I enjoyed a coffee date or walk with a friend! I guess I need to take some of my own advice! π
I hope this was helpful to you and I pray that you can enjoy some simple moments in the days and weeks to come! As always, thank you for stopping in and taking time to read.
If you have any helpful advice, I'd love to see them in the comments below.
p.s. These photos were edited with my own preset 'summer mornings' which is part of a set I'll soon be offering for sale. I have a free set if you're interested. You can click here to get it.
