retreat weekend

_MG_9120-1

We’ll be heading out very soon! This is an exciting weekend for me and the ladies at church. Every fall for as long as I’ve been saved we’ve been going to the mountains for an annual ladies retreat. God is always so faithful to meet us there … this weekend won’t be any different.

There are about 30 of us heading out on about a three-hour drive to a weekend of mountain air, times of refreshing and relaxation.

You Shall Live.jpgI’m super excited to see what He does in the lives of each of the women. I pray that you too are touched by God this weekend wherever you are!

warm air & wispy clouds

There’s a warmth in the air. The sun in all its glory has caught my attention as it slips closer and closer to the horizon. A few wispy clouds blocking, yet adding to that stunning view. The birds have quieted down. The bees have stopped buzzing. And there’s a gentle breeze blowing. This day is just about done.

_MG_6169-1As I think back, it was a good day. I got in a little quiet time this morning … a necessity for every day! And I managed to get in a little still life photography before I headed in to pick up my grandson.

Take a MomentToday I went in a little early to get a picture of this adorable little church. Such an inviting little spot with its tree-filled landscape inviting you in to hear about Jesus.

Creston Community Church-1.jpgThe sun is gone now and darkness is beginning to fold in all around me. I guess it’s time to go inside and put this day to rest.

Thanks for stopping in.Signature

a trip to trader joes

We stopped into Trader Joes after my granddaughter’s soccer game yesterday … it was a great game and the sun was shining. It almost felt like summer! Living sixteen miles out, all trips to town have to count, so I (we … three granddaughters and my very curious two-year-old grandbaby) stopped at the store to grab some chicken for dinner. As you may have guessed by my photo, we picked up more than that. Continue reading “a trip to trader joes”
