A ‘light packer’ is definitely NOT what someone would say about me! And when it comes to photography gear … unfortunately, it’s not any different. I will try though for this trip. I know I’ll want a zoom for those far off shots and a somewhat wide angle and then all of the basic gear.
My basic kit would consist of:
♥ Tamron 28-75mm
♥ Canon 70-300mm
♥ Canon 50mm
♥ Canon 85mm
♥ Sunpak Tripod
♥ Flash
Basic gear for any trip:
♥ Extra SD Cards
♥ Extra Battery & charger
♥ Small Camera Bag ♥ Lens cloth ♥ Filters
Time to pack!

Wow…that is a lot of gear to slug around. I hope you’re not planning a hike to the top of Mount Kilamanjaro!
I guess it’s always good to be prepared as you’ll never know what you’ll find along the way and different lenses come in handy though I do the majority of all photography ( landscape and still life) with my 35mm. That makes packing a little lighter.
Have a great vacation! Can’t wait to see your photos.

It’s so true Kathy! I’ll have the gear with me, but will only take certain things out on different days. 🙂 I suppose I could try to see what I could accomplish with just one lens … I’m sure it would work just fine! Thank you!

I have to admit, Kathy, that when it got right down to it, I just took my 28-75 and my 50 and never took my 50 out of the bag. 🙂 One lens was perfect!
