I know how you feel ... I'm uncertain about this myself. But, if you're the family photographer like me, then you are rarely caught by a camera.
When you look through family vacations, everyone else is there but you ... except for maybe one someone kindly took of you or one your husband shot but is blurred and so unflattering! You know the kind because I'm pretty certain you have them! 🙂
A self-portrait is a way to show:
- who you are
- who you dream to be
- what you do
- the way you live
- places you love
And so, this challenge is for you to take one ... (only one ... it won't be that hard) ... photo of yourself a month. (Well, for me, I'll probably end of taking 50 just to find that one!)
And I'd love for you to post it to your Instagram. You can use the hashtag #sixteenmilesoutchallenge
I want my family to look back and see me. Even though the photos won't be mixed within the family vacations and birthday parties, there will at least be photos of me throughout the year(s).
They want to see you.
These are a few of me from over the years. It's a personal project I've worked on for a long time and one I'm going to continue ... hopefully with you! 🙂
Do a search for self-portrait ideas. They don't all have to be headshots or even showing your face. Let's get creative! See you on Instagram!
