It's been 40 years since we said our vows in the Candlelight Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. In those days, I never imagined what life would even be like next year, let alone 40 years later.
We planned a trip to celebrate. We thought we were only going to get away for a day trip, but it turned out that we could go overnight.
Jim found a bed and breakfast at Shaver Lake. That's our favorite spot! So, I called and reserved a room for us at Elliott's House Bed and Breakfast.
The moment we walked through the front door, I knew this was the spot for us! The wood walls, soft lighting and reds and greens all made you feel as though you were about to enjoy some very special moments
We walked up the narrow staircase, imagining what it must have been like for the family that once lived there. Not only was it made for small people, but the size of each individual stairstep caused you to be careful how you placed your foot. The landing at the top was small with two doors directly across from each other. We pulled out our key and opened the one on the left.
After a cozy nights sleep in that super comfy bed, we woke up to the best breakfast ever!
The innkeepers, Joanne and Greg Elliott really outdid themselves. We truly had an amazing time there!
