We’ll be heading out very soon! This is an exciting weekend for me and the ladies at church. Every fall for as long as I’ve been saved we’ve been going to the mountains for an annual ladies retreat. God is always so faithful to meet us there … this weekend won’t be any different.
There are about 30 of us heading out on about a three-hour drive to a weekend of mountain air, times of refreshing and relaxation.
I’m super excited to see what He does in the lives of each of the women. I pray that you too are touched by God this weekend wherever you are!
There’s a warmth in the air. The sun in all its glory has caught my attention as it slips closer and closer to the horizon. A few wispy clouds blocking, yet adding to that stunning view. The birds have quieted down. The bees have stopped buzzing. And there’s a gentle breeze blowing. This day is just about done.

Today I went in a little early to get a picture of this adorable little church. Such an inviting little spot with its tree-filled landscape inviting you in to hear about Jesus.
The sun is gone now and darkness is beginning to fold in all around me. I guess it’s time to go inside and put this day to rest.
Thanks for stopping in.

Something I love to watch that changes even with every moment of the day is the light and shadows that come through the windows in my country home. I could just sit and watch them for hours … as they’re moving from side to side, getting brighter throughout the day, and then dimming as we head towards evening. Who would’ve thought such a simple thing as this could create such beauty and interest. Continue reading “light & shadows”
Isn’t that great! What a phrase to hear! And you know what … it’s true! In God’s eyes, we are … God overlooks our inadequacies and sees only the good … See the good in your life today! Because … right now, today, you are perfect! Continue reading “right now, today, you are perfect!”
