Because of the special care I give to my flowers, they thrive. I water them, deadhead them and make sure they're in a place where they'll do their best.
And then when they're at that most perfect place, I bring them in and shower them with my love and affection.
I carefully scan my shelves and containers of props, searching for the perfect piece to complement their beauty. When I find that piece, I trim the flowers and gently place them either next to it or in it.
I find the spot where the lighting will bring out their beauty in the most flattering way. And I style the flowers and their coordinating props so that both seem to meld together.
Can our lives possibly have similarities? I believe they do.
God takes special care of us ... training and nurturing us. Pruning us back in those areas where we need growth. Teaching us to forgive and let go. To love and to work together. When we allow His trimming and His work, we grow and blossom into the people He has called us to be.
He finds those perfect ones that complement us. People that will bring out our beauty in the most flattering way. He brings us together, knowing that through Him we can bring beauty into this world.
A lifelong mate, a family member, a friend ... each takes on that role in our lives ... if we let them.
Who are those people in your life? Think about it ... let them know you appreciate them.
My friend Debra is one of those people who God has placed in my life. We are photography friends ... at least that's how we began. We've only met once but are the best of friends. Check out her post today.
