Walking into my local market I'm immediately faced with the flowers ... do they do that on purpose ... kind of a reward to us for the work we're about to do?
I can't help but wander around the flower bins looking for something that catches my eye ... even if I haven't come for flowers. And so, there were the pink flowers. My eye normally goes for something more like a peony or a carnation. Something with just a single flower, with lots of petals, on the end of a stem. But recently I bought some purple snap dragons, so these pink florals just caught my eye. I knew I could do something with them.
And so, into my basket they went ... and I began to imagine what I might do with them when I got them home. Flowers don't go on display in my home. Not normally anyway. When I buy them, it's for photography purposes.
I had so much fun with these flowers. I suppose that's one more thing about still life that I love. I basically get to play with pretty things and use the creativity that God has given to me.
What's your creative outlet? I'd love to hear in the comments below. π And as always, thanks so much for stopping by and for reading. I appreciate you!

Your photographs are beautiful, I totally can relate and do the same: photographing first, decor second and when the flowers start to die, I photograph again because I find beauty in that stage as well. I am enjoying your blog, thank so much.
