Have you ever tried knitting or crocheting? If you have, then you likely know that uninterrupted, you can finish a washcloth in about an hour or so.
This particular blue washcloth ... well, shades of blue, white and a soft sea green (like the color of water on a tropical island) has taken me much longer than that!
I suppose if I took all of the times I sat down and in five minutes knit one set of the pattern, it could be just one hour.
But, because I'm me and I lose my place at the slightest interruption, knitting only takes place when I'm alone ... unless of course, it's a super simple pattern without much variation.
So, this particular blue, white and soft sea green washcloth has taken me well over a month to complete ... and actually, honestly, going on two! 🙁
Why?
Well, for one thing, when I'm alone I either have something else I find to do or am just too tired to concentrate on a pattern and for another, I made a couple of big mistakes ... I tried talking and knitting at the same time and well, I lost my place ... and so, I started all over ... I know ... 🙁 sad.
So, as you're reading this post, the second of the two blue, white and soft sea green washcloths is either on it's way just to New Jersey ... it's a gift for my very special friend Debra. If you haven't heard about how we met, you can read all about that fun adventure here.
