The anticipation is getting stronger and stronger. I'm wondering what this first meeting will be like? How long will we get to talk before we climb back in our seperate cars to make the trek down Highway 1?
It was 2008 when I first joined Better Photo and our first interaction was in 2009 in a photography class we both took. They allowed photography clubs within Better Photo, so I started one and Debra joined. We began to connect after I shared this sunflower photo.
Debra asked why I took a photo of a dead flower. It's funny the things that spark a persons creative juices. It was just interesting to me and somehow it began a connection with us.
We were destined to be friends ... here's the parting message Debra sent me as I left Better Photo.
And keeping in touch is exactly what happened! We became friends on Facebook and eventually other social media. We even started a blog together at one point. She's my modern day 'pen pal'!
We've talked about how great it would be to meet in person, but the reality of it seemed almost impossible with our busy schedules and the fact that we live over 1400 miles apart.
It's been over eight years and we're still friends and are actually meeting in two weeks! We're both super excited!
