Hello everyone. These dark and short days really let us know that winter is on its way. Here in California though, we’re still having some beautiful weather midday. I’m loving getting outdoors and wandering around on our property looking for little gems to photograph.

With the onset of winter, one thing I look forward to is an annual shopping trip I do with my girls. We’ve been doing this for about 14 years now. It all started the year my oldest got married. I really wanted to do something special with just them. So we started spending a day together with a little drive and a little shopping. Now we do a lot of shopping on this little drive.

It’s so much fun. As we head north, the day usually starts out with a stop for coffee. And always a lot of good conversation. I surprise the girls with a little gift … I’m sure they’re not surprised anymore! It’s normally a little Christmas ornament … something special for them.

Maybe this year I’ll get a few photographs that I can share with all of you. 🙂
