Long views, gorgeous light, the sound of quiet ... possibly a bird here and there and some dogs barking. It's a peaceful place where I live ... sixteen miles out.
There is a feeling of calm that I flows over me as I walk around this place. I can get my thoughts straight and refuel for the next day. The many footsteps taken have formed a path. It's a familiar one that I follow as often as I can. The repetition of it quiets my soul.
As I walk my eyes continually scan the dirt path in front of me, six feet out and to both sides, always on the lookout for a crawling creature. They live out here you know!

As I begin to get closer to the well, where the eucalyptus grows, the rustling sound of the leaves blowing in the breeze always captures my attention. It's a very special sound.
It's incredible how the colors quickly change as the sun slowly slips down below the mountain in front of me.
And then, the evening's done. Time to head in.
