Don’t you just love how every day holds something different for you? Even if you’re doing the same things every day, there’s something new in each one of them. Something I love to watch that changes even with every moment of the day is the light and shadows that come through the windows in my country home. I could just sit and watch them for hours … as they’re moving from side to side, getting brighter throughout the day, and then dimming as we head towards evening. My favorite flower changes … I think it all depends on the season, or what I have available. I absolutely love peonies, but they’re only in season for such a short time.
Lavender seems to be available to me year round. I grow it in my yard and so I take lots of photos of this gorgeous long stem of a flower.
And then there are tulips … I never really liked them until I started doing a photography challenge a few years ago. They are really fun to photograph in all stages of their blooming period.
I’ll finish this with the sunflower … I grow these in my yard too and I just love the bright yellow-orange color. They are truly a ‘happy’ flower!
Okay, so I guess I really don’t have a favorite … flowers are just so pretty! I love them all!

Until recently I hadn’t noticed the super pretty flowers that bloom on the oleander bushes. They make great dividers on the highway … at least in California. Are they used as highway dividers where you live?
Winter and spring rains provided much more green and wildflowers than we’ve had in many years here on the Central Coast of California. They seemed to be popping up overnight, more and more each day.
